Projects will be added to this list as a need is identified. If you know of a care home or Orphanage in Luxor, or a family in Luxor or the surrounding district that has a disabled child who is in need of sponsorship, then please let us know and our Trustees will assess the situation and help if they can.
Whilst we are not actively involved in assisting the Good Samaritan Home with any specific project at the moment, we would still like to encourage our members and readers to support them with the much needed donations of clothing, toys, school equipment and treats etc for the children.
Food Parcels
We are currently supplying monthly food parcels to poorer families with children cared for within the family home. Our Chairman has been to Medamud on one of these visits, arranged by Nour al Islam, where she found home living conditions to be basic in the extreme.
Nour al Islam has asked if Luxor4care would assist by coordinating the Egyptian Food Bank Programme in Luxor. We soon hope to have further news on this project.
